Filtret är utrustat med en automatiskt backspolande ventilautomatik som ser till att filtermassan hålls porös samt spolar ut en del järn och mangan som fälls ut i filtermassan.
AM-1044A höjer vattnets pH-värde och alkalinitet vilket förebygger korrosion på rör.
